郭台铭捐150亿“抗癌” 妻子与胞弟均死于癌症

　　鸿海集团董事长郭台铭昨天捐出新台币一百五十亿元给台湾大学，成立五百床规模的癌症中心、质子中心及从事生医工程合作。

　　台大校长李嗣涔表示，这是近四十年来，全世界捐给医学院金额最大的单笔捐款、捐给大学的第五名。他以“这是历史”形容台大获得这笔捐款的重大意义。

　　这笔钜额捐款中的一百亿元，供台大医院公馆院区设置癌症中心、癌症治疗质子中心；另五十亿元为产学合作方案，包括非营利的高端设备医疗中心十五亿、干细胞移植中心十亿、预防医学中心十五亿及医学工程合作研究十亿。　　

鸿海集团董事长郭台铭（左）以永龄基金会名义一口气捐给台大一百五十亿元，设置癌症中心、质子中心，及产学合作经费，创下国内捐款纪录，昨天由台大校长李嗣涔代表接受。

　　郭台铭是以永龄基金会创办人名义捐出巨款。他致词时以“Making a Difference in Fighting Cancer”（为抗癌创造新局）为主题，为这项捐款下注解，强调这是一项“非营利、公益性质的医疗合作案”。

　　他表示，是“把钱捐给最有能力创造价值的合作伙伴，而不是捐出去花掉”，台大医院是国内医疗龙头，因此选择台大为捐赠对象。

　　郭台铭并说，他过去五年都在和癌症对抗，经历两次最惨痛经验，痛失两位最宝贵至亲（指妻子林淑如、幺弟郭台成），因此得到宝贵经验，希望台大两年内把这笔钱花完，把癌症中心、质子中心建成启用。
